A TASTE OF ART
Whether you are a passionate artist who desires to showcase your gifts and skills, someone who enjoys listening, watching or hands on participation, this event is designed with you mind.
There are many ways that people express themselves, and the Taste of Art event gives participants an opportunity to become familiar with the many talents and a variety of art. Dancers, instrumentalist, poets and song writers took center stage, while artists and crafters filled the space around you. This wonderful community event celebrates and showcases how strong and versatile our local arts community is.
For the first part of the event you can take stroll through the art exhibits and take part in various workshops ranging from printing techniques with watercolors and stamps, collaging to ballet and creative dance classes. Then you can sit back and enjoy performances from dancers, musicians and poets followed by a reception with an opportunity to chat with the performing artists. The Taste of Art project was funded by a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation.
